Guided tours and study days

Groups of 10 or more can register for guided tours in German, English, French, Hebrew, Dutch, Polish and Russian. Please plan to spend 3½  hours on a guided tour.

The Educational Centre also organises study days which give groups the opportunity to delve more deeply into a particular aspect of Bergen-Belsen’s history. The range of topics offered can be found in the Education and Encounters section of the website. Please plan to spend around six hours on a study day.

The guided tours and study days are designed for young people who are 14 or older and for adults.

Questions and registration

Please note: The dates for guided tours and study days are largely fully booked for the longer term.

Until July 2025, it is occasionally possible to book afternoon appointments, appointments at weekends and on public holidays as well as during the Lower Saxony holidays (with the exception of holidays at the turn of the year due to closure).

Please contact the visitor registration centre: besucheranmeldung@stiftung-ng.de

Dates for the period from July 2025 will be bookable from autumn. We will publish the relevant information here.

Fees

The Memorial charges a flat participation fee of € 3 per person (€ 2 concession) for all tours and study days. These fees will be used to expand and improve the services at the Memorial. Groups are requested to pay the fee on the arranged date at the Memorial.

Team

The educational events are carried out by the staff of the Education and Encounters department and the Visitor Services department of the Bergen-Belsen Memorial. The Visitor Services department is staffed by freelancers and seconded teachers.
