Guy Band has been working at the Bergen-Belsen Memorial since June 2023 and is responsible, among other things, for the conceptual development of the guided tours for various groups. He is also responsible for further training for the guides and team members at the memorial. He can be contacted if you are interested in an internship in the Education and Encounter Department.
Guy Band holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Haifa/Israel. He also studied at Touro College in Berlin and Bar Ilan University in Tel Aviv/Israel. After graduating, he worked for organisations involved in political and historical education, such as the Haus der Wannseekonferenz Memorial and Education Centre in Berlin, the Jewish Museum Berlin, Gesicht Zeigen e.V. and the Yad Vashem Memorial, Jerusalem/Israel. From 2017 to 2023, Guy Band was the national representative of Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste in Israel.
